As a member of BBH, our reputation for shared accommodation for backpackers on a budget, speaks for itself. We are located in the City of Dunedin, central to many tourist attractions, both in the city, and the surrounding areas of Otago.
With friendly, helpful staff you are assured of a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay.
We have ten spacious rooms offering shared accommodation, sleeping a maximum of 35 guests. We provide many amenities, comfortable beds, clean linen, heaters, hot water bottles and spare blankets, to ensure a fun, cosy and comfortable stay.
Our lounge area is spacious and complete with a large selection of movies, a PlayStation, Nintendo, and flat screen TV with plenty of blankets for your comfort and enjoyment.
Kitchen & Dining
The kitchens are well equipped and capable of servicing multiple groups at once. The dining room houses a log burner that is in action throughout the winter months.
The showers and toilets are serviced twice daily to ensure cleanliness.
New Zealanders love to entertain in their backyards and we have built a sweet as deck including a spa pool, bbq, pizza oven, hammock set-up, outdoor pool and table tennis table. Otago can be cold in the winter months, but this is a great place to unwind outdoors no matter what the weather is doing.
We also have a public tennis and soccer court in our backyard, great for those who like to keep fit and maybe take the opportunity to learn a few simple kiwi sports!
We try to keep you entertained during your stay with us! This consists of New Zealand and international movie screenings, sports and games, pot luck dinners, pizza and BBQ nights, and live sports screenings on the flat screen TV.
We offer travel advice and provide an activities and transport booking service. We keep you up to date with what’s happening in Dunedin and Otago and train our staff so they are well equipped to answer any questions.
Do you dream of being part of the Youth Hostel lifestyle? We can help assist in finding employment in Dunedin and maybe even let you join our team!
